Fans of The Crown now have another reason to look forward to November. Just two days after season three drops on Netflix, a new companion book by the show’s historical advisor Robert Lacey will hit shelves.
Titled The Crown: The Official Companion, Volume 2, the text will explore the real history behind seasons two and three of the series, looking specifically at the Queen’s reign from 1956-1977.
The book’s cover promises “political scandal, personal struggle and the years that defined Elizabeth II.” It also features the profile of actress Olivia Colman, who will follow in Claire Foy’s footsteps to play the Queen in season three, alongside a similar image of the British monarch herself.
