One year ago Nursery Rhymes With Pictures was published by Robert Lacey under his new publishing company Paper Argosies, a project close to his heart. Together with illustrator Ben Coppin and drawing on the work of early-20th-century artist Claud Lovat Fraser, the book brings to life 82 of our most enduring nursery rhymes.
Over the past year the book has found its way into homes and schools and here are a few of the reviews that have been posted.
What readers are saying
“Really lovely book. Beautiful illustrations. Ideal Christmas present.”
“Such beautiful images. I particularly like the history, at the end of the book, of the nursery rhymes’ origins. Keeps the adult reading them, entertained.”
“A fantastically produced and well illustrated book which is a fantastic gift for young ones, and also very interesting to learn about the rhymes origins.”
Looking ahead
If you’ve enjoyed the book, I’d love to hear from you: how you’ve used it, who you’ve shared it with, and which rhyme has stayed with you the most.
